  • What is a CMS?
    CMS stands for Content Management System, and is a web interface you can use to manage your website content.

  • What makes Airwave different from other content management systems?
    Airwave is completely tailored for radio stations. It contains many tools which are invaluable for radio station staff.

  • What technical knowledge is required for users of Airwave?
    None! The service is incredibly simple, and contains consistent elements so that once you've used one part of it, the rest is very easy and familiar. Web pages are created using a Word-like editor, with common tools like Bold, Font, Copy and Paste.

  • What kind of web hosting do I require to operate Airwave?
    Airwave is hosted on our own dedicated server network, and is not available to sale or download. We host the CMS and your website, so the two can interact seamlessly.

  • What kind of software do I require to use the Airwave CMS?
    A modern web browser, such as Internet Explorer 7+, Firefox 3, Safari, or Google Chrome. Javascript and cookies should be enabled.

  • Airwave sounds good, but we've got our streaming with another company and we'd rather stay with them for that service. Would that be a problem?
    Nope. We can offer streaming through our partner company, but it is not a required part of our service.

  • Airwave sounds good, but we've got our studio SMS inbox solution with another company and we'd rather stay with them for that service. Would that be a problem?
    Nope. We can offer SMS services in partnership with an SMS number provider, but it is not a required part of our service.

  • I'm interested in your Traffic information service. What would I require to have this on my website?
    You need to be a client of Trafficlink, so that we can download their XML data and display it on your website. Contact them for more information.

  • I'm interested in your News Centre service. What would I require to have this on my website?
    You need to be a client of IRN, and have signed their online content agreement. Once this is in place and we have confirmation from IRN, we will be able to display the content from Sky News on your website, subject to alterations required in the contract.

  • We have a large team who may all want to use the Airwave CMS simultaneously, is that a problem?
    Nope. Airwave supports multiple users, each with their own privilege profile, so you decide what each user can access.

  • We're very keen on security. What does your solution offer?
    Firstly, your entire website data and media files are backed-up on a daily basis to a separate server.
    G Media works with Fasthosts "The UK's number one web host", who house our dedicated server network. The servers are held in a secure data centre, with high-speed connections, 24x7 security and engineer maintenance.
